The Department of Tourism promotes a Tourism Sustainability Plan for Llíria
IT INTENDS TO COMMIT TO SUSTAINABILITY, DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION, ENERGY EFFICIENCY AND COMPETITIVENESS
The Tourism area of the Edeta City Council has released the Llíria Tourism Sustainability Plan. The mayor of Tourism Paco García and the municipal technician Vicent Sesé participated in this online presentation that was aimed at commercial entities, tourism companies, and other cultural, social and festive associations in the town.
The ‘Llíria, Symphony of Digital and Sustainable Cultures’ project has been presented in order to benefit from the transformation, recovery and resilience plan managed with the Government of Spain with European funds, based on sustainability, digital transformation, social cohesion and territorial and gender equality, and which aims to counteract the devastating effects that the COVID 19 pandemic has had on tourism.
In the case of Llíria, a plan adapted to its needs has been designed whose axes “will be sustainability, digital transformation, energy efficiency and competitiveness”, explained councilor Paco García. “We believe that it is a very interesting project and we have good expectations so that it can receive the go-ahead from the State”, he added.
The project includes different actions such as the mitigation of the effects of climate change, landscape restoration and accessibility, energy efficiency, sustainable lighting, recharging of electric vehicles, smart signage, smart management, online motorization, digital communication, digitalization of companies, citizen participation , alternatives in hosting, or product creation and governance.
